WCP-60V classic ceramic piezo-electric violin pickup was designed for easy clipping into the “F” hole of acoustic violins/violas/cellos/basses. While resting on the instrument surface, it picks up all vibrations and overtones found in the wood; transmitting it to the 1 meter cable (1/4 in male plug end) without any batteries.
To eliminate the electric quality of the sound produced, put a single piece a flannel cloth between the instrument and the pickup. Also, try different positions on the top; especially on the left (bass) side.
